Where do the property ratings come from?
We only stayed one night while on our bike trip. The place completely lived up to our expectations. Plus, we were completely alone there, so we were able to take over the entire shelter. The outhouse is luxurious and in perfect condition. The water pump is also absolutely great. Surprisingly, even with this year’s drought, all it took was a light turn of the handle, and the water flowed in a strong stream. It wasn’t even cold, as I’d expected, so nothing stood in the way of a nighttime bath before bed. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the grounds as green as they are in the pictures—the heat had taken its toll, and the soil was completely parched, with only withering remnants of the grass left. Even the llamas preferred to stay in their shed in that heat. When we arrived, we weren’t sure if they were even there. Only a pile of fresh droppings in the pen suggested they might be there, and every now and then a quiet sigh could be heard from the shed. They didn’t come out until after sunset, and they were very beautiful. That evening, we also met the owner—she’s very friendly. She always responded to our messages right away. She brought us the drinking water we’d asked for. She also let us know we could charge our cell phones and power banks using electricity from the solar panels, which we took advantage of right away. As for the trains, which are often mentioned here, they were totally fine by us—a much more pleasant sound than being somewhere by a road with cars. If you’re driving north from the “Nad Německými loukami” intersection, keep a closer eye out than we did. The “Bezkempu” sign is hidden behind some vegetation and facing toward Břeclav. So we missed it the first time. It wasn’t until we realized we were too far gone that we turned around and drove back—and then the sign immediately caught our eye. Otherwise, everything was fine, just as others have described here.
