Bezkemp is located just a few dozen meters as the crow flies from the ossuary, which is probably its biggest plus. There are shops and a McDonald’s nearby, and you can walk to Kutná Hora in a few dozen minutes. The spot is relatively quiet, but you’re still in a public space, so you need to keep that in mind. It doesn’t offer the same sense of comfort and privacy you might be used to at other free campsites. It’s a bit uncomfortable that there’s only one (albeit clean) restroom, labeled “Women’s Restroom”—as a man, you might feel a bit out of place here—especially when the adjacent playground is full of people. We were a bit taken aback by the pricing policy, which led us to give it a lower rating. If we both took a shower, it would cost us about 850 CZK, and the place definitely isn’t worth that much. Even without a shower, we hesitated a lot, given the lack of comfort. Also, keep in mind that active training takes place on the field, so you’ll be under the players’ scrutiny from the moment you arrive. To sum it up, the place would be great as a relatively quiet spot to spend the night, but the price is out of line with everything mentioned above. However, there’s nothing similar in the vicinity of KH, so we’re at least glad to have this spot.
A very well-prepared stellplatz next to a soccer field. It was our very first experience with a motorhome, and for us, it was a great choice. The spot was generally quiet; occasionally someone would walk by, and during our entire stay, maybe only two cars drove past. There was one other RV next to us, and everything went absolutely smoothly.
We really appreciated having access to a restroom. There’s also a fire pit for roasting sausages, which we didn’t use this time.
The site manager was friendly and helpful; he even recommended a nearby ice cream shop. A few dozen meters from the stellplatz is an ossuary, and across from it is a great café serving specialty coffee. There’s also a bus stop on the main road. We walked to the center of Kutná Hora and took public transportation back; it’s only about 200 meters from the bus stop to the campsite.
We were very satisfied and definitely recommend it.
Great service and location
Great place—we went there specifically to visit the LEGO Museum. The manager and owner were fantastic, and everything went smoothly. We really enjoyed ourselves. The only downside, in my opinion, is that it’s kind of a “stopover” for locals, but that was to be expected. Other than that, there’s not much to complain about.
