We came to the National St. Wenceslas Pilgrimage which brought with it nice experiences and minor problems. The access to the site was already in a closed pedestrian area , which was resolved by discussion with the police / and their inspection of the caravan/.We were given the code to enter moments before arrival.The entrance gate is very wide but the angle of approach is sharp and can be difficult for long rigs. We later found out that it is possible to turn around at the end of the road and the drive in from the other side is easy.The site is nicely level and the trees provide shade.The main part of the site is a clearing under the electricity wires, those with longer cable or who don't need electricity will find some very nice little palm trees on the sides of the clearing.The site is adjacent to a horse paddock, some playground equipment and a cottage with another horse and dogs. It wasn't until we were on site that we learned that the advertised domestic water was not available and we didn't find bottled water either. This was annoying and we had to go to the nearest restaurant to get water.It would have been sufficient to leave a filled barrel or a sealable cubic tank of water.
The weather was beautiful so we alternated bike rides, which are a short walk from the property, with visits to the Wenceslas Pilgrimage. The latter was very nice, but unfortunately the noise from the Summer Cinema concerts and the disco lingered in the afternoons and evenings all day.For our evening gathering we found an interesting romantic pub - the river spa Nová Veslovka - just a short walk from the castle along the Elbe. Sitting on the terrace with a view or inside in the retro corner and local beers.
We loved our stay and extended it by a day.
