Garden at Hromádek's #5630

Already in 1560 the history of this village was written, then still about Lhota Vilémov.
Today, the village is called Bor and is part of Suchdol nad Lužnicí in the South Bohemian Region. The village is surrounded by beautiful nature with deep forests, with several picturesque buildings and the Novohradské Mountains in the background. We are part of the protected landscape area because of this beautiful nature.
Our garden (once a playground) is located, so to speak, in the "center" of this village and is part of a large building, a hundred years ago a local school. The garden is well maintained, the land is paved with a driveway straight from the local road.
If we were to look through a magic telescope, we would surely see all the possible interesting places in the area... for example, we can walk to Krakonoš, where he also oversees the local forests and has news not only from the jay but you can even leave a message on his FB. The jay and various carved friends will lead you to the blue marker and it will lead you to a small sandpit. And those who like beautifully colored pebbles will surely bring some back as a souvenir from this walk. If you head south, up past the pastures and into the forest, you will find a path through the local moors, but beware, it is said that when local women used to go blueberry picking in the moors, they used to tie ribbons to find their way home... If you head west, you will walk past South Bohemian buildings and a chapel where there is a magical view of the Novohradské hory, if the walk is long, the bell in the chapel will chime at noon. When even the ringing, let alone hunger, does not drive you to the comfort of Hromádkovice garden, let's go about 1-1.5 km through the end of the village on the road and reach the newly built ponds.
The fact that the village is part of the protected area means that there is no modern construction, which leaves this village with its charm. Heading east we are directed into the woods with nice paths and crossroads perfectly suited for a quiet walk and bike ride. If you want to be an explorer, you just need a basket and boots and at the right time to mushroom or pick blueberries and cranberries. Among other things, a pine cone and twig or a piece of bark can jump into the basket and build a house for the local elves.
If we add wheels to our feet, we will reach the sandpits of Suchdol for swimming (you can also go through the forest and you don't have to take the road, it's a little longer but safer).
From Bor to Suchdol is about 5
Km to the Penny , pastry shop , cinema, wine shop and restaurants, post office and other services of the town.
Furthermore, the added bikes can take us to Hrdlořez to the aviation museum, to the Jílovice brewery or to the Veteran Museum Jílovice station, to the Novohrad Museum and at the same time to a nice tour of the Nové Hrady Castle, to the Terčina Valley, to the Humenice water reservoir, to the Slabošovce lookout tower, to Trebon along the blue trail and to other interesting places that can be traced on the map.
If you add the carriages to the wheels, there is a train stop in Suchdol near Penny and for little legs on wheels you can go to Trebon or at various stops to connect to other cycle paths and thus save miles on your legs and at the same time see and explore more.
Who doesn't mind instead of an alarm clock the morning clucking of Mr. Rooster and bleating of sheep, the sounds of Amálka the pig, the chatter of geese and ducks behind the fence at the neighbors and last but not least three untrainable domestic cat beasts guarding the mice races in the neighborhood.
