Where do the property ratings come from?
Beautiful little house at the end of the village with a spacious and landscaped garden. There were other houses around, but we still had complete privacy. Every now and then the owner would come through to feed the chickens, but even he was very considerate. Although there is neither electricity nor water in the house, everything was adapted to a nice living. There was a gas stove and bottled water utility water from the well. We would definitely recommend it.
I have to say, we haven't had such a good time as we did here in a long time. It's divinely peaceful. Clean house, nice owner. We had a wonderful time here and will be happy to return :)
I was very cozy in the snug :-). The owners are very nice and helpful! Charging my mobile phone would not be a problem either. At my request, they didn't accommodate anyone else on the property, so I had privacy and peace of mind (thank you very much!). Everything I needed was provided - I was pleasantly surprised by the bed and bed linen. It was also possible to use the barn cellar as a fridge - with the perfect temperature. The vase of meadow flowers made it cosy too, and the hanging wrecker to repel insects smelled lovely every time I came down from the bedroom. The retreat is in a small town, so you can always pop in for shopping, a beer or a cafe without losing the feeling of being on a trip. But you have to expect that people in the surrounding houses will be mowing the grass, cutting wood or listening to music. There is a nice shady sitting area in front of the retreat and there are plenty of hiking destinations in the area. I would love to return.
