The surroundings of the village of Mříčná in the picturesque Podkrkonoší Mountains offer cyclists varied and attractive opportunities for trips in a landscape full of meadows, forests and views of the Krkonoše Mountains. Both recreational riders and more demanding bikers will find their own way - they can take marked trails towards Jilemnice, into the romantic Jizera valley or climb up to the Žalém lookout tower. The trails lead along quiet roads, dirt tracks and forest paths and offer an ideal combination of sport, nature and rural tranquillity.

?♀️ Summer swimming - swimming pool Mříčná
In Mříčná itself you will find a newly renovated natural swimming pool, which is operated by the municipality from spring to autumn. It offers a large 25 × 20 m swimming pool and a smaller children's pool (20 × 9 m) with a paddling pool, diving board, slide and a large playground for football, volleyball, tennis and petanque. Children will enjoy the swings, climbing frames and sandpit, there are also refreshments, changing rooms and an accessible public toilet. The banks are grassy, the water is drinkable, the entrance fee is approximately 40 CZK (according to the municipality's tariff).
? Year-round water relaxation - Aquacentrum Vrchlabí
Just a few kilometres to the east lies the modern aquacentre in Vrchlabí, open from the end of 2022. Here you will find an indoor swimming pool (25 m, 4 lanes, temperature 27.5 °C, depth 1.2-1.6 m), as well as a training and relaxation pool (32 °C), indoor and outdoor whirlpools, a wild river, massage and bubble benches, a kamikaze slide and a children's paddling pool with attractions. There is also a steam cabin and quality refreshments including the Calabria pizzeria .

The surroundings of Mříčná and Jilemnice in Podkrkonoší are a real treasure for hikers - from quiet nature trails to scenic hikes with views.
The closest trail is the Mříčná nature trail (green), about 2.5 km, which will take you past fields, forests and enrich your knowledge of local flora, geology and agriculture - suitable for families and hikers of medium fitness level.
You can also choose the Podkrkonoše circuit - an easy hiking tour through villages with log houses and castles, ideal for learning about local culture and nature.
From Mříčná or Jilemnice, you can also go to the famous Žalý - the yellow trail leads to the front and back Žalý (1 019 m and 1 036 m), a quality marked trail leads to the top, the views will reward you with a panorama of the Krkonoše Mountains.
In Jilemnice itself, you will find the tourist crossroads "U Swan", from where you can follow the red trail towards Lomnice or Strážník, and enjoy the natural and cultural attractions of the foothills.
In addition, in the surroundings you will also find attractions such as lookout towers (U Borovice or Přední Žalý), castle ruins (Nístějka, Kumburk) or natural beauties such as Martinské rybníky or waterfalls - which gives a wide range of opportunities to combine nature walks with learning about history.
