Telecí is fabulous, with unique cottages and ancient trees, all surrounded by abundant greenery. It is no coincidence that it was in Telecí, at the rectory, that Jan Karafiát wrote his Beetles.
Our cottage is officially a "Category 1 Cultural Monument".
It is a type of homestead "Poličský dvorec", characteristic for the Poličsko region. It is a freestanding homestead with an enclosed yard, where three sides are formed by interconnecting buildings and the fourth is an enclosing wall with a massive gate.
The main building is timbered, most of the rooms are preserved, original.
The rarest part is the shingled 'polygonal barn' (an architectural rarity, the only one in the region to be part of the homestead).
The cottage has a large garden with a fire pit and a cozy mini "cottage" (a small log cabin built in as part of the barn) for sleeping under the stars.
Inside you will find the original world room with historical character, another smaller world room connected to a modest but equipped kitchen, a central spacious hall and a functional bathroom (shower, toilet). The cottage stands out, among other things, with an impressive covered porch and a beautiful courtyard, which is enclosed and there is also a seating area.
In each of the two rooms, there are 3 beds, wifi available.
In the summer months it is pleasantly cool inside, in winter comfortable gas heating.
The location is ideal for lovers of peace, literature, forests and rivers, but also trips of all types (hiking, cycling, mushroom picking, cross-country skiing).
You will also find here one of the most memorable trees in Bohemia, the legendary "millennium-old Lukas' singing linden".
Just near Teleci, there is the picturesque valley of the Svratka River, which rises nearby at another interesting excursion spot "Nine Rocks", which is the highest peak of the Žďár Hills (836 m above sea level).
On one side, the Telecí begins at "Lucký vrch" (739 m/above sea level), which is a popular destination for trips, both for the magnificent view of the region and for the captivating atmosphere of the old days of the First Republic mountain huts, where you can also find refreshments.
On the other side (after 7.5 km) the Telecí ends with the Svratka River.
There are hiking and cycling trails in the surroundings.
Near the neighbouring village of Borová there is a charming unique natural forest swimming pool and nearby also a large swimming pond with boats in the village of Milovy.
Restaurants in the surroundings - in the neighbouring village of Borová there are two restaurants open all year round, on Lucký vrch in Telecí there is a restaurant open in the summer season, another famous all-year-round restaurant in nearby Daňkovice or in the town of Polička (10 km) there are more options. There is a grocery store directly in Telecí and also in the neighbouring villages on both sides, in Borová or Borovnice.

we wish you a pleasant stay in its atmosphere
Our cottage is specific, fragile and very old. It has an official status
"Cultural monument of the 1st category". The first records about it date back to 1604,
when it was called the "Mlyn Desert", of course over the centuries
over the centuries. In the following we draw attention to specific things,
to bear in mind when using the area.
These are mainly the windows, which must be handled with great care and

The cottage is very well preserved, the place has charm. For us it was an advantage that the land is fenced, because of the dogs we appreciated it. The kitchen has everything you need for normal cooking, baking. We had a great time sleeping on the beds. The cottage was beautifully warm, it was tidy. Communication with the hosts was great. I can only recommend!
