A nice spot, nicely tucked away under the trees, so it was pleasant even during the hottest days. I stopped here as part of my trip along the Czech border, and the natural shade was more than welcome. The site is on the smaller side, but that’s fine by me, and the reservation confirmation came quickly. There’s room for two tents on a nice flat area, though the terrain gets a bit bumpy after that—but nothing you can’t handle. A nice, new, and clean restroom. There’s a fire pit, water in a barrel, and a fantastic view of the trains. The train station is about a 5-minute walk away, so it’s a great spot for train spotters. The last train passes around 10 p.m. and the first one after 5 a.m., so there’s no question of being disturbed by trains at night. For me, it’s the perfect spot for a quick overnight stay just a short distance from Klatovy.
