Orchard overlooking the valley #7593

This is where time really stops. An apple orchard, a grassy meadow overlooking the valley and absolute peace - this is the place in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Come with a tent or caravan, there is more than enough space and there is no danger of crowding. In the morning you wake up to silence, disturbed only by the horses, cows and geese grazing in the neighbouring pasture.
And most importantly - you are right in the middle of the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area and there are enough excursions for a whole week. The closest is Hlinsko (about 15 km) with the folk museum Bethlehem right in the town and the nearby Vesely Hill - a living example of rural life in the Highlands. A little further starts the sandstone maze of the Toulovec Stables (approx. 10 km) with mysterious corridors and forest cycle paths. Families with children will not miss the adventure park Hell of the Devil (approx. 10 km). For culture it is worth visiting the UNESCO-listed Renaissance town of Litomyšl (approx. 30 km). More fit hikers and cyclists will head to Devět skali - the highest peak of the Žďár Hills (approx. 20 km) - or to the picturesque ponds in Milove (approx. 20 km). And those who want to experience the region to the fullest will head to Žďár nad Sázavou with the pilgrimage church of St. John of Nepomuk by Jan Blazej Santini (approx. 30 km).
