Very nice spot at down a ski hill. Electricity and fire pit available. There are toilets and a shower in after the cafeteria. Very peacefully, with now and then some people walking or cycling by. Nice restaurant at 1km from the camping spot.
A spot perfect for cyclists and a great starting point for hiking. Restrooms and showers are available, and you can get draft drinks—awesome. For cars taller than 2 meters, don’t bother following your GPS to turn off at the gate—instead, keep going to the parking lot and turn there (it takes a bit of skill; otherwise, a standard van will scrape the bottom). At the better entrance, there’s a ratchet that holds a tent in place, and you can’t drive under it—see photo. During your stay, expect to see the occasional cyclist pass by, but it didn’t bother us at all :) There’s a stream nearby where you can cool off your feet, your dogs, or your drinks.
A beautiful spot at the end of the world, peaceful at night with a million stars on the horizon. We had a campsite set up, complete with a fire pit and an electrical hookup. On the other side of the main building are showers and restrooms; the water is potable, so it has everything you need. If the weather turns bad, you can take shelter in a large white tent. You can drive onto the property even after it rains—the road is made of coarse gravel. In the morning, local mountain bikers started using the trail, but we barely noticed them; it wasn’t a distraction at all. Nearby is the Stará Myjava Reservoir, where you can go for a swim and enjoy a good meal. The owners are very accommodating, attentive, and helpful. We’d love to come back! :)
