Beautiful surroundings, a plot right next to the forest, plenty of shade, and a public swimming pool below the campground meadow—with water slides, a wild river ride, a separate wading pool for children, and an inflatable bounce house. It gets busy there on hot days, but up above at the non-camping area, it’s quiet and doesn’t disturb your stay; on the contrary, we appreciated being able to cool off in the pool for free. After the swimming area closes at 7 p.m., the facilities by the pool (showers and restrooms) remain open for non-campers. During our stay, the building with the restrooms was locked at night, but the showers remained open—and there was also one restroom there.
The tent area is smaller but level; we camped with our van on the adjacent large lot primarily intended for RVs, where it was more challenging to find a suitable spot for a tent (one that was level, without roots or twigs).
Overall, though, we enjoyed our time there and would definitely come back :)
