We booked the land really last minute and the owner confirmed the booking immediately. The land is above the main road, but somehow it didn't disturb us. The owner is a very pleasant person, he advised where to go for a coffee, where to go for a beer.

The helpful owner offered an alternative site which was a good starting point for our weekend.
It didn't quite meet our desires, but ok (roadside, no nature).
It was an alternate solution because the land by the dam is impassable. Understandable, but remove "hassle-free access in rain or snow" as that is the first criterion in our case for choosing a plot in the off-season.

Nice place in a small village near the dam. Nice grassy plot with lots of tables and benches to sit on. I didn't get to the water unfortunately. The owner is very helpful. Excellent communication. I will definitely be back.
