The property is located directly within the Šumava Protected Landscape Area and is best suited for trailers and RVs.
Newly installed electrical hookups for RVs and dry toilets.
The main advantages are the peaceful setting and easy access by car, even in winter.
You can easily walk to our farm to see the animals in just a few minutes, even with small children. You can observe them on your own from across the fence at any time of day without restriction. However, the vast majority of our visitors have been thrilled by feeding and petting our animals, taking photos with birds of prey, or getting up close with llamas, kangaroos, owls, and other residents of our grounds. However, to ensure high-quality care for the animals while providing you with an even more immersive and personal experience, we’ve had to make some minor adjustments to our program.
We now offer guided tours in small groups, during which we’ll devote our full attention to you. You’ll have a unique opportunity to learn interesting facts about our animals, help feed them, pet them, and enjoy this special time at your own pace, without rushing or being disturbed. Your visit will thus reach a whole new level—you can look forward to truly personalized attention and a detailed tour tailored to your interests and the ages of your children.
Tours must be booked in advance. We would appreciate any contribution toward the animals’ food; the amount is entirely up to you.
Your support will help us not only continue caring for our animals but also create unforgettable moments that you’ll cherish long after you leave. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to your visit!
Since we must personally escort each guest onto the property, please call us about an hour before your arrival.
The property you’ve chosen is located within the Šumava Protected Landscape Area, so it’s necessary to: above all, to camp only in the designated area, keep the campsite tidy, and light and maintain fires safely only in the designated fire pit, away from flammable materials.
The first records of our village date back to 1614. Here you’ll find an old shingle-roofed church and a fountain with pure spring water. It’s a peaceful place free from mass tourism. You’ll be able to admire stunning views of the countryside and beautiful corners of unspoiled nature; for example, the view of the Šumava mountain range’s border ridge is breathtaking. It’s ideal for hiking and biking trips. And during mushroom-picking season, Javorná and its surroundings are second to none, with the forest right outside your tent or RV. In winter, the local ski lifts are in operation, and there are plenty of cross-country ski trails.
By prior arrangement with the owner, non-campers can book a special Šumava-themed activity program:
• You can go for a ride on our horses. We’re happy to teach beginners. The price for an hour of riding on our property is 550 CZK/hour; rides into the countryside and winter skijoring (skiing behind a horse) are 550 CZK/hour.
• In our petting zoo, your children can make friends with mini sheep, mini goats, rabbits, a turtle, llamas, squirrels, parrots, owls, or a baby duck.
• An expedition-style Land Rover offers you the opportunity to go on off-road excursions in the surrounding area. The price for the entire crew is 1,600 CZK per hour.
• We offer guided tours of the nearby and more distant surroundings with various themes.
• We can arrange survival courses in the local wilderness, varying in scope and focus.
• For water enthusiasts, we have a raft available and transportation to the gold-bearing Otava River.
The owner is a professional hunting and expedition guide (
https://www.expedice-woodcraft.eu/) with in-depth knowledge of the Šumava Mountains, its hidden corners, and special spots. He can offer you personalized guided tours of the Šumava Mountains. He’ll take you to places you’d otherwise just pass by on your own hiking or biking trips. He’ll show you the Šumava as you’ve never seen it before; you’ll see places that are usually hidden, you can try to spot wildlife, hear the deer bellowing in the fall, and together we’ll visit natural attractions, historical sites, and mysterious places with commentary and guided tours.
Land at the end of the village where the forest begins. Choice between meadow and paved (gravel) standing. The owner has completed the electricity connection and dry toilet on site. If water is needed, take advantage of the well in the village - a really excellent spring. During our stay the deer rut was just starting, very interesting experience to hear the deer rutting a short distance from the caravan.
