Quiet place by the garden #3792

For cyclists as well as for pedestrians, there are many interesting destinations in the near and distant surroundings. Worth mentioning are the ruins of Potštejn Castle, Litice, Žampach. You can cycle through the entire Orlické Mountains and ride to neighbouring Poland, for example to the springs of the Orlice River. On weekends it is possible to use the cycle bus.

Dymlovský pond, Pastviny water reservoir

Swimming pools in Žamberk, but also in the neighbouring Letohrad or the small village of Písečná. At the Pastviny water reservoir there are many other activities besides swimming. There is the Pastviny Express train, a bobsled track, boating and pedal boats and many small pubs.

Rokytenka can be reached by going from the camping spot further behind the garden, and crossing the meadow slightly diagonally to the right, there is a path down to the river in the corner of the forest. The town of Žamberk and its surroundings provide many places to explore. Among others, there is the Museum of Steam Machines in the Vonwiller factory, the birthplace of Prokop Diviš, the Rozárka lookout tower and the town museum. In the wider surroundings, it is worth visiting the Zemská brána (Earth Gate), the lookout tower on Suchý vrch (Dry Hill), the artillery fortress Bouda or the fortress Hanička. A beautiful trip is to Neratov, where there is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with a glass roof.
