Our Chatka U Vlka is a labor of love; we are not a hotel, so we need adequate time to prepare everything. We welcome guests who appreciate our work and will feel as though they have traveled back in time with us to the better days of our great-grandmothers. We strive for perfection and are constantly making improvements.

Our Chatka U Vlka is located just a few meters from Lnáře Castle. From the cottage, you have a direct view of the castle across a charming pond. Chatka U Vlka is part of a farmstead at least 150 years old; thanks to our expansive grounds and pond, privacy and tranquility are guaranteed. Our greatest treasures are the animals you can see here. You’ll find regular visitors—wild ducks—that come throughout the day to drink cider made from fallen apples. Then there are the gray herons, which hover above the treetops, and our greatest pride is Mr. Stork and his family, who make their home on a nearby chimney. If you stay quiet, you might even see him just a meter away from you, hunting mice or frogs. Finally, we have the chickens, which provide a great breakfast, whether in the form of fresh eggs or homemade cake. Our cabin features a fully equipped bathroom with a toilet, large shower, and sink, as well as a kitchenette with an induction cooktop, microwave, and all the necessary cooking equipment. The bedroom features a comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, and a bonus... high-speed internet. For your relaxation, we’ve prepared a solar shower—where the sunny location ensures warm water at all times—as well as a wooden hot tub… to cool off in the summer and warm up in the winter. The terrace also invites you to relax... it gets sun from morning to evening. Breakfast in the morning... good wine and a book in the afternoon. As for gardens, the largest moated castle in Blatná is 8 km away, with beautiful gardens near the castle where fallow deer roam freely. Furthermore, in Lnáře, we have the Church of the Holy Trinity with a beautiful interior and St. Nicholas. Písek is called “Little Prague” by the locals. There you can see the oldest bridge in Europe, a museum in the town castle with an exhibition on gold mining—an integral part of our region’s history—the town power plant, and other attractions. This gem is just 30 km from the cottage.
