Where do the property ratings come from?
A beautiful place with an amazing view. Privacy, complete tranquility. (This may be disrupted by the ongoing renovation of the church, but during our stay—Fri/Sat—no one was there, and no work was being done.)
A spot with a gorgeous view of the surrounding area. A fragrant August meadow. There was a small fire pit set up, but with everything so dry, we decided not to light a fire. It’s close to a house, so every now and then you hear the sounds of civilization, and occasionally someone comes by, says hello, and leaves again :) It’s been a long time since we’ve enjoyed such a beautiful starry night sky and sleeping under the open sky—the sky was visible from west through north all the way to the east.

Under normal circumstances, I’d give it a perfect rating, but the little church—which is the main attraction—is under renovation, and there’s quite a mess and a lot of debris, so it doesn’t look very nice. Fortunately, you can’t see it directly from the site. Definitely don’t go during the week, because they started renovations first thing in the morning and there was a lot of noise from drills and such. Luckily, we were already leaving by Monday morning. Also, be careful: the listing says you can build a fire, but the owner said on-site that you can’t; luckily, we were able to work out a compromise and have a small fire.

If you value privacy and a gorgeous view of the countryside, you’ll love it here. The terrain is a bit uphill, so if you have a larger tent, you might have to work up a sweat for a bit while looking for the best flat spot, but the atmosphere is definitely worth it. I definitely recommend stopping by.
Kids excited about camping! At night we could see stars and in the morning we had a doe next to our tent. Horses and tractor included :-)
