There are countless possibilities for cycling trips within the near and farther surroundings on cycle paths, unpaved roads and on really very little frequented roads.

The nearest downhill skiing opportunities are in Velhartice (40 km) and in the Kašperské Hory Ski Resort (46 km). You can also go to the Zadov Ski Resort (57 km), Železná Ruda (60 km) or even Velký Javor in Germany (75 km). Cross-country skis can usually be put on right under the chair, and the best place for bobsledding is the slope in the castle park in nearby Chanovice.

The nearest pond, where you can swim most of the year, is the pond Předota, which is 333 m away from the village as the crow flies. However, just over 2.5 km away are two former granite quarries, of which the closer one, the flooded quarry of Defur Lažany I, is very popular for bathing because of its clean cold water, good accessibility and romantic setting.

Children are best served by unspoilt nature, but there are also plenty of activities for the little ones in the area. The nearest one is in nearby Chanovice, which is about 2.5 kilometres from the sitting area through the forest. Chanovice is a truly exceptional village with extremely enterprising and culturally-minded inhabitants (village conservation area, open-air museum, chateau, folk crafts, concerts, theatre performances, etc.). Moreover, the portal Kudy z boredy recently selected it as the most beautiful village of the Pilsen Region. From more distant destinations, do not miss a visit to the Blatná Chateau, where tame fallow deer roam freely in the park and the old owners, the Hildprandt family, tirelessly organize one interesting event after another, including those for children.

A large number of hiking trails with very interesting destinations. In any case, immediately next to the observation deck there is the nature trail "Through the Hradiště Stream" with a total length of 25 km, behind the hills you will come across the circular nature trail "Nature and forests of the Pošumaví region" in Chanovice, which is really extremely attractive with a length of about 2 km, because it takes you from the Chanovice castle through the English chateau park to the Žižkov Stone and through the surrounding forests to the Chlum lookout tower and the Chanovice open-air museum, which is officially one of the 10 most important open-air museums in the Czech Republic, and a little further on there is another nature trail "Around the Kadovský Viklan", which we would recommend you to visit as part of a day trip or a cycling trip, because it is located, from the point of view of the sitting, in the furthest part of the nature trail "Through the Hradiště Stream" and actually copies it.

A private summer cinema with a projection on a 265 x 149 cm screen can be set up right in front of the seating area. There are springs with healing water (e.g. the spring at the Chapel of St. Vojtěch) or beautiful viewpoints a short walk from the seating area. There are excellent conditions for mushroom picking in the surroundings.

In Nová Ves you can arrange horse riding (Zuana Pavlová - Horses naturally) or attend individual and group therapies, seminars and meetings (Vlaďka Vachuška and Martin Vachuška). Over the hill you can visit the cider house in Újezd u Chanovic and taste the Divoké jablko cider, or arrange in advance with Aduša for ceramics courses.

Especially in the more distant surroundings of the estate you can do water sports (e.g. Wake park Hnačov at Hnačov pond) or explore nearby towns and cities - Kasejovice, Lnáře, Blatná, Nepomuk, Horažďovice, Klatovy and others. There is really a lot to do.
