Access to the property may be difficult in rainy weather
It may be more difficult to drive in wet weather. The road is not maintained in winter.
Restriction of the access road
The gate is 4 meters wide; there are no narrow spots. However, it may be difficult for a longer trailer attached to a car to turn around when exiting—you’ll need to drive the car further forward. Even an 8-meter-long camper can exit without any problems. For a trailer, a mover would likely solve this problem.

About 3 km from us is Čížovský Pond—it's absolutely great for fishing.

When it snows, you can go cross-country skiing in the woods, and when the pond freezes over, you can go ice skating.

It's not far from, for example, the Mašovice Quarry, which is a truly beautiful place, and if you go on a bike ride, you can take a dip there on the way.

Vrunoff Park Vranov nad Dyjí: An amusement park full of nature-based and rural attractions. The main attraction is a giant 3D wooden maze suspended 7 m above the ground, along with plenty of swings, climbing structures, and water features.
Nový Hrádek Ruins near Lukov: An adventurous walk through the forest to the ruins, offering a magnificent view of the meandering Dyje River. An ideal short trip for little explorers.
Lesná Motorcycle Museum (approx. 3 km): A tour of historic motorcycles and vintage vehicles. For children, it’s a captivating and interesting spectacle.
Hardegg Lookout and Hardegg Castle (approx. 15 km): An easy trail (approx. 1.5 km) leads from the village of Čížov. You’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Austrian castle, which you can visit.

An ideal route for families, romantics, and those looking to relax, combining history with breathtaking nature.
* Route: Horní Břečkov ➔ Čížov ➔ Hardegg Lookout (and back, if desired).
* Length: Approx. 8 km (round trip), flat to gently rolling terrain.
* Must-sees:
* Čížov Iron Curtain: The only preserved border barriers with barbed wire and a watchtower in the Czech Republic.
Outdoor rock exhibition at the Podyjí National Park visitor center and a playground, indicated by a stork statue.
* Hardegg Lookout: A wooden gazebo on a rock offering an iconic view of the Dyje Valley and Hardegg Castle in Austria.
International Hike to Austria
For those who want to combine Czech nature with a visit to Austria’s smallest town.
* Route: Čížov ➔ Hardegg Lookout ➔ border bridge ➔ Hardegg Castle ➔ back via the Hardegg Loop (green trail).
* Distance: Approx. 12 km from Čížov (approx. 15 km from Horní Břečkov).

* Length: Approx. 6.5 to 9 km, depending on the route chosen.
* Must-sees:
* Smugglers’ Trail: A narrow path on a steep slope above the Dyje River, full of tree roots, rocks, and beautiful views.
* Ledové sluje: A unique system of pseudokarst caves (a rock amphitheater is visible from the lookout point; the caves themselves are off-limits for safety and nature conservation reasons).
* Obelisk: A stone monument from 1860 towering over a deep valley.
A Leisurely Walk: Around the Ponds to Lesná
A peaceful outing away from the main tourist crowds in the national park.
* Route: Horní Břečkov ➔ Dehťák Pond ➔ Lesná.
* Length: Approx. 4 km (one way).
* Don’t miss: In Lesná, you can visit the Motorcycle Museum or the windmill with a restaurant. The trail winds through pleasant countryside among forests and meadows.
In neighboring Čížov, you’ll find the renowned Hospoda u Švestků pub.
All trails are well-marked by the Czech Tourist Club (KČT). The Podyjí National Park Visitor Center is located in Čížov, where you can pick up detailed maps.
Animals
Máme 2 kočky, které možná budou zvědavé a přijdou se na vás podívat :-D.
Jinak moc nedoporučujeme brát si vlastní mazlíčky, soused má psa, který může na jiného volně pobíhajícího pejska štěkat.
Má také včely, se kterými ale nejsou žádné potíže, já sama mám velkou alergii na včely a s nimi jsme úplně v míru.
Other activities
About 50 meters from the entrance is a small road where about 10 cars pass by each day; it has beautiful new asphalt that’s absolutely perfect for rollerblading. Our whole family goes there, even with our young children.
Our neighbor has bees—we hardly know they’re there, but some of them might be a bit aggressive.
Your dog might cause the neighbor’s dog to start barking.
You can build a fire, roast sausages, or grill meat—we’ll provide the firewood, and charcoal is available for a small fee. Just please be careful so we don’t have to put out any fires :-).
The price includes the municipal recreation fee of 25 Kč per person per day.

A wonderful experience on a beautiful property right next to a vineyard. Drinking water and a small sink are right on the other side of the vineyard (very close by), plus a cozy seating area by the fire pit. The owners are kind, accommodating, hospitable, and very attentive! We were very satisfied! Visitors with trailers need to be careful when entering and exiting.
