We’ve chosen a beautiful and peaceful spot for you right by the pond, where nature reigns supreme. The pond is completely natural and serves as a home for wildlife and waterfowl. It’s a truly wild pond that belongs exclusively to animals and insects. Nature takes care of itself here; we’re just here to help.
That’s why you won’t find any amenities here—just nature.
The spot is within sight of an old farmhouse, yet it offers an exceptional sense of privacy. The property is partially fenced.
There’s a large fire pit where you can sit and relax in the evening. We can lend you a pot for cooking over the fire. You can bring your own firewood or gather some below the dam.
We’re right next to the Brdy Protected Landscape Area, so you can expect meadows, small fields, forests, and plenty of wildlife all around. You may encounter forest wildlife, and especially at night, you’ll hear that the forest is truly alive. If you love nature in its unadorned state, you’ll find what you’re looking for here—especially during the deer rut.
What about dogs? We welcome dogs, of course, but only on an extended leash. There’s a lot of wildlife in the area, as well as curious waterfowl and domestic birds.
Nearby, you’ll find a little-used bike path and trails suitable for hiking. It’s the perfect spot for a day trip, followed by a peaceful return to tranquility.
To be fair, there is one drawback. A road runs about 200 meters from the property. You might hear traffic during the day, but it quiets down in the evening.
And one more thing! We hope you enjoy your stay here—but shh! At night, you might get a visit from someone we didn’t invite. There are plenty of forest animals all around, and it’s possible they’ll be moving about near you at night!
And if you’d prefer to be farther away from the pond, we’ll be happy to help you find another cozy spot on our property.

What to do?

Greywater (shower, washing)
- By arrangement, gray water may be discharged at a location we will designate (only if eco-friendly products are used).
Chemical toilet
- There is no restroom available.
If you are camping, we expect you to follow the principles of responsible tourism: bring a shovel, bury your waste properly, and do not use wet wipes.
There is no facility for emptying chemical toilets.
Access to the property may be difficult in rainy weather
Arrival in winter is by arrangement only. The weather will determine our plans, and we must be prepared. We have a spot with a solid surface available as a backup. In the event of heavy rain, it will not be possible to drive onto the property. However, we will offer an alternative location.

You'll have a blast here! We recommend a cycling map of the Brdy Mountains so you don't get lost. Even here, cell service can be spotty at times.

You can hike in the Brdy Mountains from morning until evening. We recommend bringing a hiking map of the Brdy Mountains so you don’t get lost. Cell service can be spotty here, too. It’s essential to be truly prepared.

Other activities
During the farming season, we travel around the area—that is, during the time when necessary farm work needs to be done.
You may build a fire only if weather conditions or other regulations permit it. During droughts, it is not possible to build a fire for obvious reasons.
If strong winds pick up, move away from your tent or drive your vehicle out of the trees’ reach. Even though we keep a close watch on everything, we can’t control the wind.
Restrooms—we don’t have any here, but a responsible hiker should bring a small shovel when spending time in nature.
Arrival and departure times can be adjusted by arrangement if you’d like to set out on a hike on time.

A truly lovely, peaceful spot near the forest, with a fire pit by the pond on the property; we recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a quiet weekend in the Brdy forests
A beautiful spot by a pond among the trees; the owners were helpful and accommodating. The location is easily accessible by public transportation. At night, we could hear a little noise from the road, but it didn’t interfere with our daily activities (the view of the road was blocked by trees).
A pleasant spot next to a pond near a farm. The main road from Příbram to Rožmitál pod T. runs across the meadow. However, it doesn’t disturb your time in the meadow under the trees by the fire pit. Water from a well is available, as well as basic emergency supplies for people who don’t bring everything they need for the outdoors. You can head straight into the Brdy Protected Landscape Area from here without needing transportation. Overall, we rate this spot very highly and consider it ideal for relaxation.
