Where do the property ratings come from?
The place itself is beautiful. It’s located right on the shore of Lhota, the tents are in the shade of the trees, and at first glance, the setting has everything one could want from a stay like this. Unfortunately, that’s where our positive experience ends.
During our stay, there were a large number of dogs running loose on the beach, and by no means were all of them under sufficient control by their owners. In our opinion, this violates BezKemp’s rules regarding consideration for other guests, but for most of our stay we didn’t make a big deal out of it and tried to be tolerant.
However, the situation that arose on the last day could no longer be ignored.
A large hunting dog ran out from a nearby blanket, dashed right between our children, jumped into the sandcastle they’d been building for several days, onto our towels, and then shook itself off right next to us. We didn’t verbally attack the dog’s owner or provoke a conflict. We simply gestured for her to call the dog back and expressed our regret that it had destroyed the sandcastle the children had spent several days building.
Her reaction was completely unexpected. Instead of apologizing or calling the dog back, she began yelling at us loudly and aggressively, saying that the beach was “for dogs, not for brats” and that we should take the children to the other side of the lake. We argued that we were properly staying here and, as paying guests, had the right to use the beach. To that, she replied that the dogs had only this small stretch of beach and we could go “with our brats” anywhere else.
When I told her that she probably didn’t have children if she didn’t understand why the situation was unpleasant for us, she got even more upset and started yelling that she had two degrees, was a teacher, understood children, and knew full well “how spoiled today’s brats are.” Meanwhile, our children had been sitting quietly on the blanket the whole time, terrified, while her dog continued to run around the property uncontrollably.
The owner then arrived, though he hadn’t actually seen the incident or how it started. Nevertheless, without even trying to find out what had actually happened, he shouted that we had to pack up and leave immediately, or he would call the police. At first, we even thought he was talking to the dog’s owner. He wasn’t.
The police did indeed arrive. In front of them, the owner himself confirmed that he hadn’t seen the original incident. The police officers explained to us that, since this was private property, we had to respect the owner’s request to leave. At the same time, they expressed regret over the whole situation and tried to advise us on how to proceed regarding the owner’s actions.
Nevertheless, we had to cut our fully paid stay short and leave the premises prematurely, even though we hadn’t violated any rules of the property. It was also very unpleasant for us that everything took place in public in front of other people on the beach, who hadn’t seen the start of the conflict and couldn’t know why we were being escorted off with police assistance.
Above all, I consider the owner’s behavior toward our children to be completely unacceptable. Just like his friend, he repeatedly used the term “brats,” mocked their fear of dogs, and told us several times that the beach is not for children, but for dogs.
In my opinion, this fundamentally changes the character of the entire place. It is no longer just a dog-friendly environment, but a place where other guests are clearly expected to accommodate the dogs and their owners unconditionally.
In addition, there were other misleading or undisclosed facts. The property was presented as fenced and safe, but in reality, only part of it is fenced, and the beach is freely accessible to the public. At night, strangers would come there, drink alcohol at the tables, and make noise. That, too, didn’t really fit the image of a fenced-in and safe place for a family vacation.
Furthermore, during our stay, an organized training session involving a large number of dogs and about ten cars took place without prior notice. Fortunately, the organizer himself was very polite and easy to reason with; he was actually more surprised that we, as guests staying there, hadn’t known about the event in advance at all.
It’s a real shame that, based on our experience, such a beautiful place is run this way.
After this experience, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to families with children. Nor would I recommend it to people who, upon seeing the “dog-friendly” label, expect a place that’s welcoming to dogs but also respectful of other paying guests.
A beautiful and peaceful beach where you can enjoy the lovely natural surroundings. Easy access to the water via the sandy beach. The camping area is flat, and it’s comfortable to sleep on the grounds.
The staff is also very helpful—when our car battery died, they went out of their way to help us 🙂

Unfortunately, we have to write a very negative review. This campsite was one of the most expensive non-camping sites we’ve ever stayed at, but the quality didn’t match the price at all.
We were unable to reach the owner by phone to have the gate opened, both upon arrival and departure. No apology—just hanging up the phone.
We were also very disappointed by the pervasive smell from the portable toilets and the entire surrounding forest littered with used toilet paper. You have to find an open spot among the umbrellas, people, and beach bar seating. We can’t imagine how five separate reservations could possibly fit here.
You also need to keep in mind that this is a public dog beach, so there are a lot of dogs around.
The only positive thing is the unique location right on the lake shore—in the evening, when all the visitors have left, the view is truly beautiful. We’ll give it two stars for that, but unfortunately, it doesn’t save the overall experience.

The only thing I’d improve would be the restrooms, and we would have appreciated more information about how to get there (the municipal guards really only let you in via a single road, and then you have to call at the gate for them to open it for you—which we didn’t know). There were a lot of dogs on the beach all day (it’s a dog-friendly beach), which didn’t bother us, but I’m mentioning it here as a heads-up for others. By evening, only the campers were left on the beach, so it’s quiet there; however, unfortunately for us, a group of young people were partying quite loudly all night on the adjacent public beach, so it wasn’t a quiet night—though, of course, the owner of this beach isn’t to blame for that.
