You’ll find us on the outskirts of Sušice, just a few steps from the water, where kayakers and canoeists set off on their journey down the Otava. Right across the street is a boat rental shop, and the train station is also nearby.
Our spot is ideal for RVs and campers. It offers simple yet comfortable accommodations in close contact with nature—exactly what you need when you want to slow down for a while.
Whether you’re heading out on the water, taking a trip around the Šumava region, or simply looking for some peace by the river, you’ll find a place here where you can truly breathe deeply.

What to do?
Greywater (shower, washing)
- There is no drain or facility on the property for disposing of wastewater from caravans and motorhomes. Dumping gray water or any other wastewater on the property or into the surrounding natural environment is strictly prohibited.
All waste from the caravan must be removed and disposed of at designated locations outside the campground.
Chemical toilet
- It is not permitted to empty a chemical toilet on the property. The contents of the chemical toilet must be taken with you and disposed of off-site at a designated location.
Access to the property may be difficult in rainy weather
Access via a paved gravel road with no potholes. Spacious grassy parking spots on a solid, level surface suitable for trailers, RVs, and campervans. Ample space for parking and turning around. The exit leads up a steeper hill along a paved road. A peaceful spot by the river on the edge of the forest, offering beautiful privacy and a connection to nature.

On hot summer days, you can cool off right in the Otava River, which flows beneath the property. You can swim in the river below the weir, where you’ll enjoy the natural surroundings, the sound of the water, and the peace and quiet away from crowded swimming areas. Please keep in mind that this is a natural swimming spot without a lifeguard, and you swim at your own risk.
Another option is the outdoor swimming pool in Sušice, which is especially suitable for families with children and for those who prefer the traditional amenities of a public pool.
In inclement weather or outside the summer season, you can also use the indoor pool in Sušice, where you can swim regardless of the weather. This makes swimming available not only in the summer but also on cooler days.

A Paradise for Kayakers
The property is an ideal starting point for a one-day trip down the Otava River. Directly across from the campsite is the Lodní servis Strakonice boat rental—Sušice branch, where you can rent a canoe, raft, or other water sports equipment in the morning.
A popular route runs from Sušice to Horažďovice and offers beautiful views of the Šumava countryside, the river’s meanders, and historic towns along the Otava. Once you reach your destination, you can comfortably return to Sušice by train. From the Sušice train station, simply cross the bridge over the river, and within a few minutes you’ll be back at your camper or RV.
