A spacious, grassy lot with easy access directly from the road. Beautiful surroundings perfect for day trips. We took a walk past the paper mill, around the lake, and hiked up to the ruins of Děvín Castle; we had a great meal at the Hostinec na Hrázi restaurant. There were three groups on the property, and we didn’t bother each other at all. We’d definitely love to come back—just not during summer vacation (noise and music from nearby campsites can be heard even late at night...).

We went for a swim and picked the coldest and rainiest weekend 😂. But we did get the chance to explore the local forests, which offer plenty of opportunities for hikes, blueberry picking, climbing ruins, and stunning views of the countryside. The campground itself was nicely mowed and huuuuge, so even with three reservations side by side, they were practically unaware of each other. The owners’ experience is somewhat marred by the neighboring campsites, which—at least on Saturday—played loud music into the night. We recommend the café in the fortress by Hamerské Lake—the food is homemade and fantastic. And don’t miss the Ralsko ice cream shop in Mimoň—the garlic and bread flavors are an interesting combination 😁
